[Peru] Charitable Concert for Helping Firefighters "Hidden Heroes"

On January 29, 2023, the ASEZ Charitable Concert for Helping Firefighters was held in Faucett, Peru. Through this concert, ASEZ members in Faucett, Peru, expressed their gratitude to the firefighters for their hard work.

Rosa Isabel Gomes Canqui, the Secretary of Congressman Edgar Tello Montes, visited the concert and said, “It is my first time to meet ASEZ and I feel very happy. I’ve never seen such talented youth members. I would like to express my gratitude to the Church of God orchestra for making me happy with a beautiful performance, and I hope other young adults will come to this church and learn to play different musical instruments and join the good work.”

Emiliana Andrade who works in the Foreign Trade and Tourism Commission Office as an advisor to the Congressman Edgar Tello Montes, said, “I was deeply moved, watching the videos about the ASEZ’s activities. ASEZ practices love and consideration for our neighbors, and sets good examples. If I tell my boss, Congressman Edgar, everything I learned about ASEZ, he will surely be happy, and I think ASEZ deserves a certificate of appreciation from the National Assembly. You should continue with your activities so that our society can learn from you. Your activities are very important for giving opportunities to other organizations to participate in social activities together. I would like to express my gratitude to ASEZ for your valuable activities for our society.”

Leónidas Teleita Estela, the Commander of the General Corps of Volunteer Firefighters of Peru, said, “I want to express my gratitude to ASEZ for providing 30 uniforms. ASEZ and the General Corps of Volunteer Firefighters of Peru are working together for the community with willing hearts. Just as ASEZ conveys the love of mother who is the center of her family, we, too, are making every effort for the country wherever our help is needed, by regarding citizens as our family. Although it is not enough, there are 18,000 volunteer service firefighters in Peru, working hard for the community every day. I was greatly moved by the performance of the Church of God orchestra. Just as ASEZ young adults have a good influence on society, many young adults are studying at the firefighting academy and preparing to become firefighters. When we serve our community, our hearts become enriched and our souls find peace. If more people, in addition to ASEZ and our firefighting team, participate in volunteering, more people will be happy in society. I’d like to say thank you for strengthening my soul through today’s concert.”

This concert was a very meaningful event where gratitude and comfort could be conveyed to firefighters who silently dedicate themselves and volunteer for local communities around the world, even if they were not recognized. We hope that ASEZ will continue with their activities through which we can appreciate the hard work of firefighters and learn from their selflessness.
