On March 23, 2025, ASEZ members in India carried out a heartwarming volunteer event titled “Helping Old-Age Home” at the Red Cross Senior Citizens Home located in Sarabha Nagar. The purpose of the event was to bring joy, comfort, and companionship to the elderly, while also raising awareness of ASEZ’s mission to create a better world.
The event began warmly with a video presentation introducing ASEZ’s mission and global activities. The atmosphere quickly became cheerful and lively as the members and the elderly participated together in fun games, creating moments of connection and laughter.
After the games, everyone enjoyed light refreshments, which helped foster an even more relaxed and friendly environment—a moment where warmth and sincerity were truly felt.
A highlight of the event was a heartfelt song delivered by ASEZ members, filled with messages of love, hope, and gratitude. The song deeply moved everyone in attendance. Following this, the members served a homemade meal they had carefully prepared and shared it with the elderly residents, making it a moment that fostered a genuine sense of community and solidarity.
In a post-event interview, Navneet Joshi, President of the Red Cross, expressed sincere appreciation for the meaningful event. He noted that such activities have a very positive impact on the emotional and psychological well-being of the elderly.
Sunaina Joshi, a teacher who participated in the event, was deeply touched by the young adults’ dedication and warmth. She encouraged more young people to join in such acts of love and praised the ASEZ members for their efforts.
ASEZ member Jiya, a student at Government College Ludhiana East, shared her reflection: “I was reminded of how important it is to serve the elderly and uphold their dignity. I hope more people will join ASEZ’s efforts to build a peaceful and sustainable society.”
