On August 31, 2025, ASEZ members carried out volunteer activities at an Islamic Foundation Orphanage in Medan, Indonesia. The initiative was organized to share warmth and joy with the children, offering them comfort and hope for a better future.

Members with hairdressing qualifications carefully trimmed the children’s hair, while the children eagerly waited their turn and happily took part in the activity.

ASEZ volunteers also prepared recreational games, leading the children in the traditional Korean game ‘Mugunghwa Flower Has Bloomed’, filling the space with laughter. During the Korean writing activity that followed, the children proudly wrote their names and personal messages in Korean on hand fans.
To support the children’s growth, ASEZ also donated food supplies such as rice, eggs, cooking oil, sugar, and noodles, ensuring that the day was enriching both physically and emotionally.

After the event, Hasbullah Sibarani, a teacher at the orphanage, expressed gratitude, saying:
“We are thankful to ASEZ for visiting the orphanage. Both the children and we teachers were very happy. The team’s visit further inspired the children’s passion for learning and their dreams.”
Geofran Purba, an ASEZ member from Mahkota Tricom Unggul University, also shared his impression: “Seeing the children’s sincere smiles and enthusiasm warmed my heart and deeply moved me. I hope meaningful opportunities like this will continue in the future.”
The orphanage director likewise voiced strong support for ASEZ’s efforts and participated by signing a statement of endorsement.

This volunteer activity is recognized as an exemplary case of young people in Indonesia practicing sharing and solidarity with their local community. In a country where diverse cultures and religions coexist, ASEZ’s efforts demonstrated social values that transcend religious boundaries, embodying the love and care of a mother. Such actions promote inclusivity and harmony within local society while reminding everyone of the importance of living together in mutual support.
The event gained additional significance as it was reported by local media outlets Analisa and Waspada. Going forward, ASEZ aims to continue leading efforts in community service and environmental protection not only in Indonesia but also around the world, contributing to the creation of inclusive societies and a sustainable future.
